Utah HVAC Rebates in 2026: What You Can Claim Through Rocky Mountain Power Wattsmart and Enbridge Gas ThermWise

Rocky Mountain Power Wattsmart: Up to $2,000 Back on Heat Pumps

  • Air source heat pump upgrade: up to $1,700 cash back
  • Dual fuel, ductless, or ground source heat pump: up to $2,000 cash back
  • Smart thermostat add-on: up to $100 additional rebate
  • You must be a residential Rocky Mountain Power customer on rate schedules 1, 2, or 3
  • The installation must be in an existing home (not new construction — there’s a separate Wattsmart New Homes program for builders)
  • The equipment must meet minimum efficiency requirements set by the program
  • Your home must be in the Rocky Mountain Power service territory, which covers a large portion of the Wasatch Front from Utah County north through Davis County

  • Dual-fuel heating system — Tier 2 (higher efficiency): $1,200 rebate
  • Dual-fuel system Tier 2 — heat pump only component: $850 rebate
  • Energy Recovery Ventilation system (with gas heating): $300 rebate
  • Residential gas boiler (85%–94.9% AFUE): $400 rebate
  • Residential gas boiler (95%+ AFUE): $600 rebate
